Is India rising?

I often hear that India is rising. But I believe that India is not rising, actually India is regaining its position. India has been at the forefront for most of the time in her history. It is considered that at the time of Great Mauryan Ruler the Great, Indian economy was around one third of that of whole world. Indian has the largest economy from 1st AD to 1000 AD and 2nd largest after China up to 1600 and then again overtaking China in around 1700 AD.
As per some estimate India has around 25 % share in world trade in 1600 AD and US has around 13% share in world trade at her height in 1980s. India has more wealth that whole Europe up to 17th-18th century. One of the world’s best war machines of all time – Alexander Macedonian army refused to cross the Ganges River as they were frightened by the mighty Indian armies waiting for them. The Mughal army was considered to be best army of its time.Indian invented the Indo-Arabic numerals. The decimal system along with zero was invented in India. Kanish & Kanada invented atom hundreds of years before John Dalton. Sanskrit is considerd to one of the mother language of Indo-European language family.
So, how can one say India is rising? Yes, we lost our prominence during British Raj and still we are far from being the superpower. But the day is not far when India will regain its old position. Jai Hind !!!
