The cult of Modi’s personality

Modi is first non-Hindi belt mass leader of Independent India. Who could have imagined 4 years ago that a leader from Gujrat will sweep UP (population of 210 million) on its own? An Outsider leader has smashed regional heavyweight parties like SP & BSP in their own den. Opposition leader like Omar Abdulla & news channels are now talking about 2023 General Election. As per them, it seems that results of 2019 election is almost certain.

Modi have caught the attention & imagination of youth. He talks about jobs, skill development, make in India, Start Ups along with Garibi Hatao. He has shed his pro rich & pro corporate image and has established himself as pro – poor. But he is still the best man for lead Indian Economic growth. He is on the verge of implementing GST, he has enhanced maternity bill for women employees, opened up may sectors like defense, aviation, manufacturing etc. He is distributing free LPG connections to poor, he has opened free bank accounts for poor under Jan Dan Scheme. He has distributes subsidized LED bulbs to all Indian. Now many subsidies directly comes into the bank account of the beneficiary. Crop Insurance is a welcome step for agriculture. His speech attracts all class of Indians from a poor to a millionaire.

I don’t think any OBS leader has been so loved in India by upper caste voters ever. He has taken MBCs and other SCs from opposition parties in UP. Even he is respected from May Muslim leaders. Common people see Modi as combination of Indira & Nehru.  He is also firm with neighbors. India didn’t blink in Nepal blockade and did surgical Strike in Pakistan in response to Uri attacks. Modi is respected as a firm & industry friendly leader abroad. He understand that if enough jobs are not created than our demographic dividend can become a disaster for India. Millions of youth graduate every year & they face difficulties in getting jobs. And Modi is tirelessly working to create more & more jobs. If he is able to create enough jobs till 2019, he will easily win the election.

Remember, he was a leader who was banned from entry to America. He was the most hated & abused leader of last 20 years by so called Indian "Intellectuals". Many journalists & social worker made their career out of abusing Modi. He was dragged into courts, he was called "Maut ka Saudagar" (Merchant of Death) etc. He was opposed bitterly in his own party by none other than his mentor. He was publicly rebutted by his own Party PM to follow "Rajdharma". But everything is history now. He was a son of tea seller & used to sell tea in his childhood. He even failed in "International Affair" subject once during his graduation.  But look him now. He can deliver a free flowing speech in English in American Parliament and a mesmerizing Hindi speech in planes of UP. No person in Independent India has risen to such a height from such a humble background.  You can love him or hate him. You don’t have other options.
