Importance of historic peac deal between Isreal and UAE

Israel is located in the middle of Arab world. Israel shares all its border with Arab states. But it is quite surprising that only two Arab countries (Egypt and Jordan) have diplomatic relations with Israel.

Let us see which all countries doesn't have diplomatic relations with Israel. We can find that mostly Muslim countries either don't recognize Israel or they don't have diplomatic relations with Israel. Even it took more than 40 years for a secular country like India to have diplomatic relations with Israel (because politicians feared Muslim vote bank).

The geo politics of world have changed dramatically over last few years. Sunni Arabs have more issues with a Shia  Iran than Israel. Its often said that enemy of your enemy is a friend. Iran may just be one of the reasons for this historic peace deal but Iran was the main reason Arabs and Israelis started to collaborate with each other. A fierce rivalry is going on between three main Muslim blocks - Saudi led Sunni Arab block, Iran led Shia block and a Turkish block. From Yemen to Syria to Libya, proxies of these groups are fighting each other. Arabs have never been traditionally a big military power compared to Iranians and Turks in last few centuries. Even today. Arab world is not very strong despite very high end weapon platforms. America is still be committed to protect its Arab allies but now China is the main priority of America. Israel is the most advanced and powerful country in the region and Sunni Arabs along with Israel can stand up to Iran even without American help. And Iran is clearly going closer to Chinese camp so this may bring more attention from America and may be other countries like India.

There are many other reasons for UAE-Israel peace deal - trade, technology transfer , investments etc. Israel is one the main centers of high tech innovations and Arabs have the money. Together they can achieve a greater height. In coming decades, Oil may loose its shine and Arabs will have to find alternative ways of revenue. UAE is gar ahead in this regard and it generate a big chunk of its revenue from non-oil resources and it has mega cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Israeli cutting edge technology can of great help. UAE's crown prince Mohammed bin Zayed is the most influential & visionary politician of middle east (even more than his Saudi crown prince MBS). He stood out from the rest and has signed a peace deal with Israel. He has a vision to develop his country as a non-oil economy and even MBS is following his vision. And on top of it , UAE has extracted some concessions from Israel like suspension of annexation of parts of West Bank by Israel, Emirati citizens can visit Al-Aqsa Mosque etc. This may be the channel by which Arabs can convey their message to Israel and they can use such relationship as leverage with Israel. Many Arab countries like Bahrain (and may be Saudi Arabia) can follow the foot-step.

The time has come for Arab world and Israel to recognize the existence of each other. It took so many decades for establishment of diplomatic relations and I think this is a historic deal for Arab world. Arab monarchies must accept the reality of new world order publicly and Israel also must understand the aspirations of Arab world. This is a new stepping stone in the journey which was started by former Egyptian President in 1978-79 (when Egypt had recognized Israel).
