Change of stand of Punjab CM Amrinder Singh over Sikhs of Afghanistan

I welcome this demand.

Punjab under Captain Amarinder Singh was second state to pass anti-CAA resolution in Assembly. This law was equated with Hitler’s laws by Captain Amarinder Singh. What is CAA ? CAA is a law that gives fast track citizenship to minorities of neighboring Islamic countries (who have come India before 2014). Even Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) opposed the law asking for inclusion of Muslims. Include Muslims under CAA, says SGPC chief.
Ironically Sikhs were targeted in a Gurudwara in Kabul by Islamic terrorists and the one of the attackers was Indian who had joined ISIS four years ago.

Several lakh Sikhs and Hindus used to live in Afghanistan prior to Jihad wars. Now a few thousands Hindus and Sikhs live there and most of them live in Kabul. Hindus and Sikhs were forced to wear a band (like Jews in Nazi Germany) during Taliban era. They have witnessed unprecedented horrors and difficulties in Afghanistan in last 30 years and I am sure in few years the Sikh and Hindu chapter of Afghanistan will come to an end. These people have been living there since the start of civilization.

Now Captain Amarinder Singh wants India to bring back all Sikhs from Afghanistan. I would request him to include Hindus as well in this demand. But what will the fate of those Sikhs in India? They will be de without citizenship for years & decades and they will be forced to live in some dirty camps. They will have no jobs and their children would have no access to proper education. They can prosper in India if Indian parliament creates another law like CAA and give them citizenship on fast track basis.

Sir, you are a decorated soldier of India Army, a respected politician and a guardian of Indian Sikh community. I hope one day you would support CAA. Captain Sahib now-
