Reasons why Saudi Arabia has bypassed Imarn Khan Govt and its talks with Pakistani Army

Saudi Arabia knows Pakistan very well and it still has significant influence in Pakistan. They clearly know that the real power Center in Pakistan lies in GHQ, Rawalpindi (Pakistani Army headquarter).

The current PM of Pakistan Imran Khan is called "selected PM” by opposition parties. They accuse that Imran Khan won election due to active role of Pakistani Army. We all know that how former Pak PM Nawaz Sharif was shown the door due to his alleged difference with Pakistani Army. This is the well known fact in Pakistan that Army is the real power center in Pakistan. Have you seen Army chief accompanying their PM in their important bilateral visits? I don't think that such things happen in a real democracies like US, UK, Europe, India, Japan etc. But Pakistani Army Chief has accompanied Imran Khan in some of his bilateral visits (e.g. - visit to America, Britain, China etc.).

But it seems Saudis have gone a step ahead and they are directly engaging with Pak Army. It is believed that Pak Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa played an important role last year in securing 6.2 billion USD package from Saudi Arabia. A few weeks back when Saudi wanted 1 billion US back then they conveyed the message via Army. Now there is a visible tension between Saudi Arab and Pakistan after open threat to Saudi by Pakistani Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. It seems that Saudis are not happy with Pakistan Govt. That's why Saudi Ambassador has met with Army Chief and other politicians. Can any Govt. tolerate such meeting between a foreign Ambassador & Army Chief without keeping Govt. in the loop? I don't think so. But Imran Khan has his own limitations and he can't openly go against Army.

Now Pakistani Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit Saudi Arabia to normalize Saudi-Pakistan relationship. Even though Saudi Arabia has historic relationship with Pakistani Army but it doesn't give them license to bypass civilian Govt. Saudi Arabia may have shown civilian Govt. their place and it is a lesson for Imran Khan Govt. not to issue statements against Saudi Arabia. This is another proof that many policies (mainly foreign policy) are decided in GHQ, Rawalpindi.
